Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) is a hands-on, drug-free, non-invasive form of healthcare that works with the whole body to restore balance, reduce pain, and support your body’s natural ability to heal. Rather than focusing solely on the area of pain, we assess and treat the underlying patterns and restrictions that are contributing to your symptoms.
-
While there is some overlap in technique, osteopathy is distinct in its philosophy and approach. Osteopathic practitioners assess the whole body as a connected system — including the muscles, joints, organs, nerves, and fluids — and use a wide range of gentle techniques to restore function throughout. The focus is always on finding and treating the root cause, not just managing symptoms.

Every body is different. Most patients begin to notice meaningful improvement within 4–6 treatments. We reassess at every visit and adjust your treatment plan based on how your body is responding. Our goal is always to get you the results you need in as few sessions as possible.

Most extended health benefit plans in Canada cover Osteopathic Manual Therapy under “Osteopath” or “Manual Osteopathy.” We direct-bill insurers that support direct billing for manual osteopathy, and provide reimbursement-ready receipts for the rest — most plans let you submit online and reimburse quickly. Contact us before your first visit and we can help you confirm your coverage. -
Yes. Osteopathic Manual Therapy is gentle, non-invasive, and safe for patients from newborns to seniors. In the day or two after a treatment, some people feel mildly sore, and some feel more tired than usual, as the body integrates the work. Others notice nothing at all. None of these responses is better or worse than another — bodies respond differently, and all of it is normal.
